THE legal battle between Chameleon Mining NL and its former geologist Robert McLennan continues.
Mr McLennan filed a notice of application to wind up Chameleon because it had not paid him $200,000 he claimed it owed him.
The winding up matter is expected to be heard in the New South Wales Supreme Court on November 18.
Chameleon has appointed Sydney Chartered Accountants, Armstrong Wiley & Co, to prepare an independent assessment of the company’s solvency in relation to the notice.
It has also lodged a claim that it estimates to be more than $4 million against Mr McLennan in the Federal Court of Australia.
The Federal Court action relates to alleged Trade Practices Act breaches.
