COMO The Treasury named best in Aus

COMO The Treasury has another award to its name, after being ranked as the best city hotel in Australia and New Zealand by a US tourism magazine.

Travel + Leisure surveyed its well-travelled readers to create a 2020 World’s Best Award list, featuring the best hotels, companies and travel destinations.

The hotel, housed at the state buildings and developed by Adrian Fini in 2015, was ranked 71^st on The Top 100 Hotels in the World list, and the first in the country with a score of 95.73.

The magazine said designer Kerry Hill Architects worked its magic and “all four rooms reflect Como’s signature sense of warm minimalism”.

It was not the first time the hotel has been recognised by an international magazine.

In 2016, travel publisher Conde Nast named it the second best hotel in the world.

In the same year, it was voted best hotel in Western Australia by the Australian Hotels Association, and in 2017 it was named overall hotel of the year at the Australian Hotels Association National Awards for Excellence.
