Crown Limited executive chairman James Packer today announced Burswood Entertainment Complex will change its name to Crown Perth next year.
The announcement comes as the $750 million upgrade and expansion of the complex nears completion in 2012.
In a statement, Burswood said the renaming was an exciting development as it strives to more effectively compete against the other integrated resorts in the Asian region.
“This change will allow Burswood to utilise the internationally recognised Crown brand in order to increase the number of interstate and international visitors to Perth, especially from the strategically important China market,” the statement said.
