Bristow Helicopters has won a 10-year contract at global oil and gas giant INPEX’s Ichthys LNG project off the north west coast of Western Australia.
The Perth-based company will provide two helicopters to support pipe laying, and up to four helicopters for offshore production facilities.
INPEX also holds an option to include a full search and rescue helicopter under the contract, as well as the provision of fixed-wing services with north west airline Airnorth.
“Bristow is delighted to be supporting INPEX,” director Allan Blake said.
“Our helicopter and other aviation support services will focus on ensuring that INPEX staff have a reliable, safe and smooth journey to and from work.
“We look forward to being a key part of the team that will support INPEX in their innovative and significant Ichthys project.”
The Ichthys project is being built to produce 8.4 million tonnes of LNG each year, piped from the Browse Basin off the WA coast, to a processing facility in Darwin.
