AFTER weeks of searching and deliberation, Delizioso owner and chief pizza artisan, Raffaele Brotzu, has decided to open a second pizza outlet in Perth.
Joining his popular Subiaco premises will be a new Delizioso on the corner of Carillon City Aracade and Forrest Place.
As Gusto reported earlier this year, Delizioso Cafe finished second in ‘Best of the Best’ pizza competition at the Fine Food exhibition in Sydney in 2005.

Windows Restaurant at Burswood will close in 2006 following many years as a leader in five-star cuisine in Perth.
This year’s New Years Eve will be the last at Windows and it plans to go out with a bang. A seven-course degustation will be matched with Champagne and live bands to usher in this last hurrah.

Anyone familiar with Sydney’s dining scene will have heard of the infamous food critic Matthew Evans.
The chef turned critic and columnist for the Sydney Morning Herald has built a career out of telling the dining public the food facts (as he sees it), earning him equal amounts of praise and loathsome regard from his peers.
Well, Mr Evans has penned his last piece, with his parting column representing highlights from his five years in the business: “The amount of truffle oil a chef uses is inversely proportional to his talent”; “The only thing bigger than the Sydney restaurant scene are Sydney chefs’ egos”; and of course in the world of fine dining, “Truth is not a defence in a defamation case”.

Congratulations go to WA’s newest vineyard, Denmark’s Silverstream Wines, as current owners Tony and Felicity Ruse celebrate one year in the business.
Having taken over the winery from pioneers Lindsay and Dee Richardson, Mr and Mrs Ruse have taken the Silverstream label to early success.
Their 2005 unwooded chardonnay won a bronze medal at the Qantas Mount Barker show, and there is early promise from merlot and cabernet franc fruit.
Further still, John Wade has been commissioned to make Silverstream’s first merlot/cab franc blend to be released in the latter part of 2006.
