THERE are some changes on the cards for two Fremantle eateries.
Market Street's Maya Indian Restaurant recently applied to the Department of Racing Gaming and Liquor for a small bar licence.
Gusto hears the small bar is to be located on the first floor of the popular eatery, which has been operated by owner Gurps Bagga for more than 12 years.
Soho Soho, located in Fremantle's High Street fashion precinct, has applied for a restaurant liquor licence. The venue has been operating for two years, and is open for lunch from 10am to 4pm.
Owner Gareth Hancox says he plans to open Thursday, Friday and Saturday evenings if he is granted the liquor licence.
Pizza on High, the Great Mellie, Villa Roma and the Orient Pub are some of the other restaurants currently trading on High Street.

Wine buffs will meet at Houghton Winery in the Swan Valley this Sunday, September 21, for the annual Swan Valley Wine Show Public Showcase.
Visitors to this showcase will be the first to taste award-winning wines from the 2008 Swan Valley Wine Show and discuss the wines with the producers.
This year's judging panel is led by Dorham Mann, Alan Dineen from the Chateau Guildford, and Tony Devitt from Ashbrook Wines.
Tickets are available now for $15 pre-booked from the Swan Valley Visitor Centre or $20 at the door, with the price including a souvenir Swan Valley wine glass.

After its recent French-influenced truffle extravaganza, Must Wine Bar is heading to Spain from Monday September 15 to Sunday September 21 for a Spanish Wines and Tapas Week.
A selection of the Spanish wines including Cava, a sparkling wine, Albarino (a white variety) and the red variety, Mencia, will available all week with a range of tapas.
The Spanish week will end on September 21 with a Fiesta Espana lunch including tortilla espagnola with gambas all-i-oli matched with Spanish rosé and Rioja. The lunch will take place from 12.30 to 2pm cost $110 per person.
