A THOUSAND years of Japanese culture is on display at a photographic exhibition at the Cullity Gallery at the University of WA.
The Beauty of Japan brings together the work of three of Japan’s most celebrated photographers, Yoshio Watanabe, Japanese -American Ken Domon and Yasuhiro Ishimoto.
A combined effort between the Japan Foundation and the Perth International Arts Festival has brought this exhibition to Perth.

The collection of work from these three photographers focuses on the art and architecture of Japan.
The collection includes a variety of images of Japan, from the still tranquillity of a traditional garden to the fierce brass statues of the God of Thunder.
The collection has travelled to Australia from Thailand and before that Russia, from Perth it will go on to Melbourne and Canberra.
