Newly listed Babylon Pump & Power has secured a $1.1 million power supply contract at BHP Billiton’s Mining Area C project in the Pilbara.
Under the contract, Babylon will supply, install and maintain power generation equipment for BHP’s Mining Area C surplus water pipeline project.
The contract was awarded via engineering company Adenco.
Works are expected to begin immediately, with commissioning scheduled for September.
The contract will run for a minimum term of one year and is expected to contribute about $1.1 million in revenue for the 2019 financial year.
“Babylon’s board is grateful for the confidence Adenco have placed in Babylon and looks forward to building a strong and positive working relationship with Adenco,” the company said in a statement to the ASX.
Babylon listed on the ASX in January after a reverse takeover of Melbourne-based health company IM Medical.
