Azumah Resources has appointed GR Engineering to undertake design and engineering works for the Wa gold project, in northwest Ghana.
Azuma is fast-tracking the Wa project into production by 2014, with capacity ramping up to around 100,000 ounces per year.
Gr Engineering has been active in West Africa over the past five years, performing design, engineering and construction works for more than ten projects in the region, including several comparable to the Wa development, Azumah said.
Azumah said it expects to report a maiden minerals resource in the June Quarter.
At 1:15PM, WST, Azumah stocks were up 2 per cent, at 25 cents.
