Austereo keeps dominating Perth radio

Austereo has continued its dominance of Perth's radio waves with the company's two stations Mix 94.5 and 92.9 taking more than 30 per cent of the listening audience, according to the latest survey.

The Nielson poll shows Mix 94.5 lifted its rating from 16.4 per cent in the last survey to16.9 per cent this survey

However, 92.9 lost some ground down 0.6 per cent to 13.7 per cent.

720 ABC Perth finished third in the ratings on 10.8 per cent followed by Nova (9.3 per cent).

Fairfax Radio's 96fm (8.8 per cent) and 6PR (8.3 per cent) finished fourth and fifth respectively following the department of Declan Kelly as managing director in September.

720 ABC Perth's Breakfast present Eoin Cameron continues to just hold sway in the coveted breakfast slot with a 16.2 per cent share of the compared to the Bunch on 94.5.

The battle for morning talk back king has widened with 720 morning show presenter Geoff Hutchison (10.6 per cent) now well ahead of 6PR's Simon Beaumont (8.1 per cent).
