LOCAL electronic engineering commercial and operational services company Atamo heads to Sydney next week in an effort to secure new commercialisation ventures. The firm is a sponsor of the Knowledge Commercialisation Australia Commercialisation Forum and Fair of Ideas and hopes to attract business from firms with good ideas but lack of business acumen.
Atamo director Stewart Snell expects there to be about 100 companies in that predicament.
“Government policy and private investment can help improve success, but many attempts at commercialisation fail simply because of lack of good operational management experience,” he said. “This fair brings the brightest minds together to explore how ideas can be moved from the lab to a profitable business, and Atamo has the experience to assist in this area.”
