Architects appointed for $38m in school upgrades

TRCB Architects and EIW Architects have been appointed to design $23 million and $15 million projects at John Curtin College of the Arts and Mount Lawley Senior High School respectively.

West Perth based TRCB will design new classrooms and student services area at Fremantle’s John Curtin College of the Arts.

The upgrade, which includes new science and music learning areas, is on track for completion in 2024.

Perth’s EIW Architects will design an expansion to Mount Lawley Senior High School.

The new block includes 20 general classrooms and is expected to be complete by 2024.

Education and training minister Sue Ellery said the two-storey classroom block would include a state-of-the-art digital arts studio, makerspace, staff studies and associated amenities.

"The 20 new classrooms and a modern digital arts studio will provide students with brand new learning areas that are equipped with the latest technologies,” she said.
