Brent Stockden is joining Ocean Grown Abalone as chief financial officer, company secretary, and commercial services manager. Mr Stockden is an accountant with more than 15 years’ finance and commercial experience. His most recent role was with Aerison as chief financial officer. Prior to this, he held positions at Good Drinks, formerly Gage Roads Brewing Co, and Toxfree.
Sonia Arrakal and James Bowen have joined the Perth USAsia Centre as policy fellows. Ms Arrakal was previously a political staffer for state and federal parliamentarians. Mr Bowen was previously a non-resident research fellow at the centre from 2018 to 2020. He has previously worked overseas, as a visiting research fellow at Berlin’s Mercator Institute for China Studies and at the International Peace Institute in New York.
Craig Vandepeer will be general manager of the Australian Marine Complex Western Australia, succeeding Jonathan Smith. Mr Vandepeer brings knowledge of defence and industry, after working as general manager of naval defence support organisation ASC West for the past ten years.
Darryl Gaunt has been appointed to the WA Police and Community Youth Centres board. Mr Gaunt works as the assistant commissioner for regional Western Australia. Working in the WA police force since 1982, Mr Gaunt has served extensively through the state, including the Goldfields, Pilbara and Mid-West Gascoyne regions.
Property developer Aigle Royal Group has undergone several leadership changes. It promoted Brad Brashaw from the position of general manager, land developments, to chief executive. Amy Nancarrow, who recently joined the group from the Town of Mosman Park where she worked as director planning and operations, will serve in Mr Brashaw’s previous role. Quynh Nguyen Ho has been promoted to group accountant.
Cottesloe builder Dean Humphrey has been appointed regional president of the Housing Industry Association, after serving two years as regional vice-president. Mr Humphrey has been a registered builder and led his Cottesloe-based architecture and building company Humphrey Homes for the past 22 years. At HIA, he chaired the Perth HIA Technical Services Committee from 2014-2019.
Clough has added two new members to its executive committee. Chief business and integration and security officer Jing Leong and group manager corporate affairs and stakeholder engagement Cynthia Calderon have been added to the executive leadership team, in a move which recognises the importance of their roles to the business.
