Cameron chief at LASA-WA
The WA branch of Leading Age Services Australia (formerly Aged Care Association Australia) has appointed Beth Cameron as chief executive officer, to replace Anne-Marie Archer, who was recently appointed as CEO of the Leeuwin Ocean Adventure Foundation. Ms Cameron is the former assistant director of the Department of Sustainability, Environment, Water, Population and Communities and has been a freelance consultant on strategy and public investment to not-for-profit sector clients for the past year.
Xiao to Stochastic
Upstream oil and gas software company Stochastic Simulation has appointed James Xiao as a senior software developer. Mr Xiao was formerly the chief photogrammetrist of nearmap. com.
Stangroom’s smart move
IP business communications firm Interactive Intelligence has appointed Michael Stangroom (top) as WA territory manager of its newly opened office in Perth. Mr Stangroom was previously WA state manager at Communications Australia, and has worked at Siemens as WA state manager. Former Hood Sweeney Technology technical operations manager Rick Stansfield has joined the company as pre-sales engineer.
Haria Fremantle Ports CFO
Fremantle Ports has appointed Tanvi Haria as chief financial officer/general manager commercial and corporate services and secretary to the board. This follows the retirement of Alec Meyer, who was general manager commercial operations since 1988. Ms Haria was previously manager finance at the port authority, and has been a member of the management team for more than 12 years.
Bond joins SJOG Midland
Andrew Bond has been appointed as director of corporate services and hospital development at St John of God Midland Public and Private Hospitals, which are being built on the Midland Health Campus site. Mr Bond is currently overseeing the construction program. He has moved to Perth from Melbourne, where he was most recently in facilities management at Healthscope.
Mullins joins Downings Legal
Sean Mullins has joined Downings Legal as special counsel. Mr Mullins was most recently special counsel at Jackson McDonald, and his experience includes professional indemnity, directors and officers insurance, and commercial litigation.
Lewis to Gilchrist Connell
Law firm Gilchrist Connell has appointed Roger Lewis as a senior associate in the Perth office. Mr Lewis is an employment law specialist and handles unfair and unlawful dismissals, antidiscrimination, restraint of trade, general protection claims and workers' compensation.
Hammond stays at Notre Dame
The University of Notre Dame Australia's board of governance has reappointed Celia Hammond for a further five year-term as vice-chancellor. Professor Hammond succeeded Peter Tannock in 2008 when he retired after 16 years in the role.

CBH directors election
Derek Clauson of North Yelbeni has been elected in District 2 at grain handler CBH Group, ousting current member director Mick McGinniss of Merredin, who has been on the co-operative’s board for over nine years. Current member director Trevor Badger of Pingrup stood against Ray Harrington of Darkan and Roger House of Kojonup in District 4 and was re-elected. Kevin Fuchsbichler was re-elected unopposed in District 3.
