Western Australian company director David Zohar has been charged with three counts of providing false or misleading information to the Australian Securities Exchange.
The Australian Securities and Investments Commission has alleged Mr Zohar allowed false information to be provided to the ASX in connection with the listing of Aluminex Resources in 2008.
Bauxite and base metals explorer Aluminex was suspended from trading on October 13, 2008 and was forced to refund all subscribers of shares under its prospectus.
The company held exploration licences over bauxite tenements at Wandoo in the Chittering Valley.
Mr Zohar did not formally enter a plea at Perth Magistrates Court on Friday.
Bail was granted and the hearing was adjourned until August 15.
