IT services provider ASG Group has added a multi-million dollar, three-year contract with Main Roads WA to its order book, taking its total works won since the end of June to $86 million.
ASG said it would provide Main Roads with cloud computing services and Oracle software under the contract, which follows the company migrating Main Roads’ systems to its cloud platform from the Department of Finance’s shared services division earlier this year.
“ASG’s offering was attractive to Main Roads because they wanted a locally hosted option rather than the offshore-based offerings of our multinational competitors,” ASG chief executive Geoff Lewis said in a statement.
ASG, which reported a $29 million net loss for FY2013 last week, has booked multi-million dollar deals with Clough, the Department of Housing and the Department of Education in recent weeks, among others, totalling more than $86 million.
Mr Lewis said the success demonstrated the company’s renewed approach to bidding for contracts.
“Forward-thinking organisations are increasingly attracted to ASG’s unique offering of traditional managed services and cloud based services that help our customers transition to new world computing,” he said.
At 1:58PM, WST, ASG shares were up 6.8 per cent, at 39 cents.
