APA contracts Veris for gas pipeline

Veris has been contracted by APA Group to survey a recently announced $460 million gas pipeline in Western Australia.

APA is building a 580-kilometre pipeline – called the Northern Goldfields Interconnect (NGI) – which will link the Dampier Bunbury and Goldfields gas pipelines.

NGI will deliver 80 terajoules of gas per day into the Goldfields.

Veris has been contracted to provide surveying and associated services on the project, including centerline, feature, level, cadastral and subsurface surveys over a five-month period.

The company expects to gain more than $1.2 million in revenue from the contract.

Chief executive officer Michael Shirley said Veris had a strong working relationship with APA.

“It’s extremely pleasing to be continuing to work with APA once again as a valued client to help them progress this important project,” Mr Shirley said.

“With a number of gas pipeline developments currently being considered across Australia, there is further potential to grow our contracted works in this area given the strength of our team and track record.”

The NGI pipeline is expected to be operational around mid-2022.
