Rio Tinto executive shake-up
The new head of Rio Tinto’s global iron ore business has restructured his Perth based management team, with the former head of the Pilbara operations leaving his role.
Zoe Yujnovich became executive vice president and country chair of the Shell companies in Australia in April 2017, and will take over as executive vice president of conventional oil & gas and be based at The Hague in January 2020. She was previously executive vice president of oil sands, based in Calgary. Prior to joining Shell in 2014, Ms Yujnovich held frontline and management roles in mining across three continents. She joined Rio Tinto in 1996, after obtaining an engineering degree from the University of Western Australia, where she held roles including company president in Brazil and chief executive of the Iron Ore Company of Canada.
