Hastie promoted to ministerial role
Canning MP Andrew Hastie has been appointed Assistant Minister for Defence in a ministerial reshuffle.
Zed Seselja studied Arts and Law at the Australian National University and then moved into the Commonwealth Public Service where he became a senior lawyer.
Mr Seselja entered politics to create a better future for his children and all Canberrans. He represented Canberrans in the ACT Legislative Assembly for eight years, including as Leader of the Opposition.
In August 2018, Mr Seselja shifts from Assistant Minister for Science, Jobs, & Innovation to become Assistant Minister for Treasury and Finance under the Morrison government. He then became Assistant Minister for Finance, Charities and Electoral Matters in May 2019 before becoming Minister for International Development and the Pacific from December 2020 to May 2022 following the defeat of the Liberal Party at the federal election..
