Yvette Canet-Gibson has over 25 years of experience in marketing and community events, sponsorship acquisition/servicing, production of multi-channel print/web/direct marketing campaign collateral, and admin/finance management. She studied Production Management at AFTRS (Australian Film, Television & Radio School) in Sydney which led to a 12-year career in film, commercial television, advertising and graphic design. She has enjoyed roles as Writers’ Festival Coordinator for the Perth International Arts Festival; communications & media manager of Josh Byrne (ABC TV’s Gardening Australia); event manager for the Perth International Jazz Festival, the Office of Multicultural Interests’ Chinese New Year Festival, and Brookfield's Tower 2 Launch and Winter Lights Festivals; activation & events manager for the 2017 Black Swan Prize for Portraiture and now the marketing, communications & media manager from 2018; event director on numerous large and small scale events; production/traffic coordinator in the advertising industry; production manager in multimedia/broadcasting; financial controller in the corporate and not-for-profit sectors; and community development, marketing and PR in the education and welfare sectors. She also works with key public accounting practices in Perth, providing their clients with integrated business support including marketing, media, professional organisation, administration management, bookkeeping systems and staff training.
