Tunku Dato’ Ya’acob bin Tunku Tan Sri Abdullah has been chairman of Mycron Steel and executive chair of Melewar Khyra group of companies. Tunku Dato’ Ya’acob graduated with a bachelor of science (Hons) degree in economics and accounting from City University, London. An accountant by training, he is a fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England & Wales and a member of the Malaysian Institute of Accountants. Tunku Dato’ Ya’acob began his career as an auditor at PriceWaterhouse, working in its London office from 1982 to 1985 and Kuala Lumpur office from 1986 to 1987. He sits on the boards of listed and private companies.
