William Burns

William Burns has extensive experience in the pharmaceutical industry, specifically as a board member of pharmaceutical companies, where he provides pharmaceutical, healthcare, industry, leadership and management expertise.
Mr Burns spent his entire management career at the Beecham Group and F Hoffmann-La Roche. He was chief executive of Roche Pharmaceuticals from 2001 to 2009 when he joined the board of directors of F Hoffmann-La Roche until his retirement in 2014.
In 2014, Mr Burns became a trustee of the Institute of Cancer Research in London, and in 2016 a Governor of The Wellcome Trust in London.
