Sunbird wins $25m Vandasia deal
Sunbird Energy has announced a deal with Vandasia Investments under which the gas explorer and developer will secure a $25 million cash injection and a new major strategic partner.
Will Barker holds a Bachelor of Science, with a major in Geology, from the University of Western Australia.
Mr Barker was the general manager of LNG for Arrow Energy and was responsible for the overall management of the company’s lead Coal Bed Methane to LNG export project. Mr Barker also held senior management positions with New Guinea Energy (managing the company’s conventional petroleum exploration activities in Papua New Guinea) and Sydney Gas (developing Coal Bed Methane projects in New South Wales).
His experience covers exploration and development activities, gas compression facility and pipeline construction, government relations, business development and general management.
Mr Barker was a member of the Coal Geology Council of New South Wales.

Sunbird Energy has announced a deal with Vandasia Investments under which the gas explorer and developer will secure a $25 million cash injection and a new major strategic partner.
Mining entrepreneur Andrew Forrest has made a move into onshore oil and gas, with Squadron Resources, a subsidiary of his Minderoo Group, to explore and develop the Canning Basin in an 80:20 venture with privately owned Goshawk Energy.
