Dr Antonio Belperio has over 35 years of experience in a wide variety of geological disciplines in university, government and mineral exploration entities.
He received AMEC’s Prospector of the Year Award (jointly) in 2003 for the Prominent Hill copper-gold discovery, and was awarded the Bruce Webb Medal by the South Australian Division of the Geological Society of Australia in 2010 for his contributions to Earth Sciences.
Dr Belperio's vision for the adaption of halloysite (kaolin nanotubes) to innovative commercial uses gave rise to Natural Nanotech, which has achieved multiple commercialisation grants and research projects through collaboration with Newcastle University.
