Tobias Kollmann

Professor Tobias Kollmann is a paediatric infectious diseases physician and Telethon Kids Institute's head of the First 1001 Days team, where multi-disciplinary research aims to transform the early life trajectory of young babies conceived and born anywhere in the world. Prof Kollmann is also leading the involvement in the Human Vaccine Project with the Telethon Kids Institute being the only partner outside of North America and in May 2020, he co-led the research project Containing Coronavirus or CoCo Study to test the effectiveness of multiple sclerosis drug interferon in reducing the infectiousness of COVID-19 patients.
