New brokers in position for rebound
PERTH'S stockbroking scene has undergone some major changes over the past year as the sector repositions itself to take advantage of growing market confidence.
Tim Weir has over 20 years of experience in investment and capital markets. He began his career as a stockbroker with Porter Western in 1993 and was its private client advisor. After the successful growth of Porter Western’s retail stockbroking business, he became a partner in 1996 where along with his fellow directors, he oversaw the firm’s successful merger with Macquarie Bank. Mr Weir has a Bachelor of Business in Economics and Finance from Curtin University. He was instrumental in the successful merger of Blackswan and Euroz in June 2014.
