Blackoak establishes $40m fund
Blackoak Capital Ventures has launched a $40 million investment fund targeting opportunities in the Specialist Disability Accommodation sector.
Tim Mack has extensive finance and investment experience within the property and finance industries in Australia and Canada.
Mr Mack is the managing partner of Blackoak Capital and leads its Blackoak ventures business. Prior to that, he was the managing director (2010-2017) and executive director (2018-2020) of FJM Property, a private Western Australian property group managing the investments and developments of the Fini, Jones and Mack families. He was also an investment banking executive at Macquarie Bank in Sydney and Canada from 2000 to 2005, specialising in infrastructure and project finance.
Mr Mack holds a Bachelor of Commerce (Honours) from the University of Western Australia, and is a retired member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants Australia.

Blackoak Capital Ventures has been selected as the preferred proponent for the restoration and redevelopment of the Edward Millen Heritage Precinct in East Victoria Park.
Local property funds are casting their investment nets wide, as they seek to navigate increased competition for traditional assets.
The state government and Blackoak Capital have officially marked the start of the Edward Millen precinct redevelopment, which has been estimated to cost more than $20 million.
