Tim Goldsmith was a partner of PwC for over 20 years and has decades of leadership experience in the mining sector. He held multiple roles during his tenure at PwC and is best known for leading its global mining team. With over 2000 partners and staff in more than 100 mining countries, Mr Goldsmith spent years travelling the world and building strong networks with chief executives of major mining companies and governments. As global mining leader, he was also responsible for PwC's thought leadership on the future of the mining industry and regularly presents at mining conferences around the globe. Mr Goldsmith was an early participator in the China growth story and initiated a China focus in 2002 that led to PwC's Australia China desk, which is known throughout China today. As national China Desk team leader, Mr Goldsmith worked closely with many state-owned and private Chinese investors and companies to facilitate Chinese foreign investment in Australian mining and other assets.
