Thomas Bates

Thomas Bates has over 40 years of experience in oil service management and operations.
Mr Bates was a director at Alacer Gold from April 2014 to September 2020 and was appointed to the board of SSR Mining in September 2020 following their merger.
Mr Bates is an adjunct professor and an advisory board member for the Energy MBA Program at the Neeley School of Business at Texas Christian University.
He spent 15 years at Schlumberger in both domestic and international locations, was chief executive of Weatherford-Enterra, president of the Discovery Group of Baker Hughes, and managing director & senior advisor for 13 years at energy-focused private equity investment firm Lime Rock Partners.
