Kelly’s lobster deal sinks
The fishing industry says it is disappointed by the state government's backdown on a local lobster supply deal, with a planned international lobster festival to be one of the casualties.
Terry Lissiman has been a supplier to the Geraldton Fishermen's Co-Operative for over 28 years. He skippers his vessel, owns and operates A & B zone MFLs. Throughout his career, Mr Lissiman has worked in the Northern Prawn fishery in the Gulf of Carpentaria and the East Coast Tuna fishery, as well as the Western Rock Lobster Industry where he is currently vice chair. He is also involved in undertaking Rock Lobster research for the University of WA. Mr Lissiman has been actively involved in a number of boards and councils including as councillor of Irwin Shire. He has also held committee positions on a number of sporting and fishing associations.
