After completing a highly successful career in national and international law enforcement, Terry Buckingham focused on anti-corruption efforts by performing senior roles with integrity/oversight agencies in Australia. Subsequently, he undertook a contract with the highly successful United Nations, Office of Internal Oversight Services (UN OIOS), Procurement Task Force based in New York. Mr Buckingham has maintained his international focus by undertaking consultancies on behalf of United Nations agencies including UNOPS, UNHCR, UNECA and the FAO. He has also been sought out to investigate mismanagement and misconduct issues on behalf of International NGOs. Mr Buckingham is a member of the UN OIOS roster as a Chief of Section, Investigations (P-5). He is also a member of the Legal Profession Complaints Committee in Western Australia. Mr Buckingham has prior experience in national industrial and workplace relations compliance and enforcement, initially with the Australian Building and Construction Commission and the Workplace Ombudsman. Upon being appointed as assistant commissioner of professional standards with the Department of Corrective Services in Western Australia, he promoted risk management as the catalyst for business improvement and opportunity.
