Taylor Carter has experience as an executive nurse leader in New Zealand, Abu Dhabi and Australia in both secondary and tertiary quaternary hospitals, affording her experience in a diversity of governance and funding models . She has also led nursing services successfully through two Joint Commission International accreditation surveys and an interim accreditation undertaken by the Australian Council on Healthcare Standards. Since 2013, as the director of nursing and midwifery, Ms Carter has been a member of the executive team leading the pre-commissioning phase of the 783-bed Fiona Stanley Hospital. With the final phase of opening completed in February 2014, she then has responsibility for the professional leadership of approximately 1800 FTE of Nurses and Midwives.
