Lotterywest funds concern
WA arts organisations are aiming to broaden their revenue streams amid falling income for Lotterywest.
Susan Hunt AM PSM was appointed chief executive of Lotterywest and Healthway in September 2019, having been acting chief executive in both organisations since June 2017 and January 2018 respectively. She will be retiring from both roles in August 2021.
Prior to that, she spent 13 years at the helm of the Perth Zoo and became president of the World Association of Zoos and Aquariums.
Ms Hunt is a Fellow of the Australian and New Zealand School of Government. In 2017, she was made an Australian Fellow of the Institute of Public Administration.
In 2010, Ms Hunt was awarded a Public Service Medal for her contribution to conservation and the public service. The Public Service Medal is Australia's highest recognition for public servants. In June 2017, she was awarded the IPAA Patrons Award, the most senior award for Western Australian public sector leadership. And in 2023, Ms Hunt was awarded a Member of the Order of Australia for significant service to animal welfare, and to public administration.
