Steve Norregaard is a mining engineer with over 25 years of experience. Mr Norregaard has a broad range of operational expertise in heading the development of base and precious metals mining projects, including nickel projects, encompassing the early exploration stage through to ensuring sustained commercial production.
Mr Norregaard became the managing director of Widgie Nickel in August 2021. He has previously worked in Canada for Trelawney Mining and Exploration as chief operating officer, in Australia for Tectonic Resources as managing director and chief executive, and MacMahon Holdings as general manager of their Underground Mining division.
Mr Norregaard is also an experienced company director.
He is a member of the Australian Institute of Mining and Metallurgy.
