Steve Glover was SportWest’s first communications and events manager, appointed in July 2021. He left Sportwest in August 2022 to become media and communications manager of Netball WA and the West Coast Fever.
He spent over a decade in media and communications roles, starting as a journalist with the Manjimup-Bridgetown Times before transferring to corporate communications roles with the WA Farmers Federation and the WA Police Union.
Mr Glover has been heavily involved in community sports since a young age playing cricket, football and golf. In addition to playing, he was also president of the Doubleview Carine Cricket Club in the WA Suburban Turf Cricket Association for five years, including a position on the association’s board.
Mr Glover graduated from the University of Western Australia with a degree in Arts (Communications Studies) before completing a Graduate Diploma in Journalism at Curtin University.
