Jacka Resources has launched a $3.9 million capital raising and will review its operations and restructure its board in a bid to cut costs following Tangiers Petroleum’s failed takeover of the company.

Max Cozijn has joined the board of Jacka Resources as chairman, and James Robinson has joined as a non-executive director, following the resignations of Brett Smith and Stephen Brockhurst (who remains as company secretary).Mr Cozijn was a founding director and chairman of Oilex.

Nicholas Clark has retired as executive director, strategy at Alexium International Group to focus on his young family in the US following the unexpected loss of his wife last year. Mr  Clark will also be stepping down from all public and community roles.

Suraj Sanghani has been appointed company secretary of Lindian Resources. He replaces Steve Brockhurst who has resigned due to other work commitments.

International Goldfields has appointed Kenneth Keogh and Nicholas Sage as non-executive directors, following the resignations of Ray Shorrocks and Steve Brockhurst from the board.

African Energy Resources has announced that current managing director Frazer Tabeart will become an executive director of investor relations and business development, and Bill Fry becomes executive director, commercial.

Michael Chan, a highly experience executive and metallurgical engineer, has joined Hexagon Resources as chief development officer.
