Stephen Williams has practised almost exclusively in insurance law since 1986. His practice covers a range of insurance related matters, almost invariably for defendants (insurers and employers), principally in the workers compensation or employers indemnity, personal injury and public liability areas. This practice includes straightforward personal injury claims where both liability and quantum are disputed as well as more complex disputes involving multiple dates of injury or multiple employer/insurer situations and indemnity disputes. He also has asbestos litigation experience.
Mr Williams joined Moray & Agnew in December 2021. Prior to that he was with Kott Gunning as managing partner from 2007 until it ceased operations in December 2021. He was previously a partner at Pynt & Partners and at Freehills.
Mr Williams is a member of the Australian Insurance Law Association (AILA), and a past president & current committee member of AILA’s WA chapter.
