Stephen Promnitz has considerable technical and commercial experience in Argentina; and is a geologist with a history of exploring, funding and developing projects.
Prior to becoming the managing director of QX Resources in September 2022, Mr Promnitz was the managing director of Lake Resources NL, and worked in the gold sector with major and mid-tier producers as well as across the battery minerals of copper, nickel and rare earths, and the broader natural resources and energy sector, with a focus on South America, South-East Asia and Australia. He was also the chief executive and 2IC of mid-tier listed mineral explorers and producers (Kingsgate Consolidated, Indochine Mining); held corporate finance roles with investment banks (Citi, Westpac); as well as technical, corporate and management roles with major mining companies (Rio Tinto/CRA, Western Mining).
