Stephen Lemonis has been practicing law for over 20 years. He was admitted to practice in Western Australia in 1989 and New South Wales in 1997.
Mr Lemonis has regularly acted for clients who are the subject of investigation for fraud, corruption, insider trading and offences against the Corporations Act. He has also acted on complex litigation in the financial services industry and regularly appeared in the Supreme Court, the Federal Court of Australia, and the District Court.
Before being appointed to the District Court in 2019 and the Supreme Court in June 2023, Mr Lemonis was a director of a law firm that specialises in commercial litigation and dispute resolution. In private practice, he also acted as a solicitor in corruption, fraud, insider trading, civil penalty and crime proceedings. He was a director of Lemonis/Tantiprasut, and a partner of Fairweather Lemonis and Bennett + Co.
