Stephen Hills has extensive experience in senior finance roles in public companies listed on the ASX and TSX, and had spent the past 14 years in mining companies with gold, nickel and copper producing assets. Prior to committing to join Energia Minerals, Mr Hills was with Democratic Republic of Congo-based copper producer Tiger Resources from 2010 as finance director, where he was involved with the financing, commissioning and operations of the Kipoi copper project in Katanga province. Mr Hills was also chief financial officer and company secretary of Mirabela Nickel from 2006, and was involved in the company’s listing on the TSX and subsequent capital raising and the initial syndicated project financing which was completed in 2009 for the Santa Rita nickel mine in Brazil. From 2003, he was chief financial officer of Botswana-based gold producer Gallery Gold, and was also chief financial officer of Scientific Services which provided laboratory services to the resources sector. Mr Hills is a chartered accountant and has a B.Com from the University of Natal and a B.Compt (Hons) from the University of South Africa.
