Stephen Carroll

Stephen Carroll commenced his career in 1999 and has provided advice across Australia to a diverse range of industries, from startup innovators to large multinational corporations. He has worked with thousands of Australian innovators via his roles as R&D tax and innovation advisor.

Mr Carroll became the chief executive of Innovate Australia in December 2021. Prior to that, he was a partner of the Perth Tax Services division providing specialist research and development (R&D) tax incentive and innovation consulting services. He also spent over 8 years as a director of RSM and over 6 years as director of KPMG.
