Stefan Frodsham has been the chief executive at the Western Metropolitan Regional Council since June 2018. Mr Frodsham has over 30 years of experience in the environmental protection, defence, industrial development and transport sectors. He is a graduate of the Royal Military College Duntroon, and holds a Bachelor of Arts from the University of NSW and an MBA from the University of Western Australia. Mr Frodsham spent 7 years in regional WA as chief executive of Broome Port Authority; 13 years in senior policy and project management positions within the Western Australian public sector including the Department of Environmental Protection, Department of Commerce and Trade, and the Department of Transport; and 20 years with the Australian Regular Army and Army Reserve. He was also a director of the Esperance Port Authority. From 2010 to 2018, Mr Frodsham was the principal consultant of Preston Point Consulting where he provided management consulting services including transport planning & coordination, environmental approvals, waste management, economic development policy, government and community liaison.
