Sophie Raven has practised corporate law for over 20 years in Australia, Chile and the Cayman Islands. She has practiced as a corporate and commercial lawyer in law firms and as in-house legal counsel, focusing on general corporate law, mergers and acquisitions, and investment funds.

Mrs Raven also has extensive experience in advising ASX-listed and unlisted companies within the resources, gas, manufacturing, telecommunications and technology sectors across Australia, Africa, USA and Europe.

Upon graduating in 1991 from the University of Western Australia with a Bachelor of Laws degree, Mrs Raven joined Freehills and was admitted to practice law as a solicitor and barrister in 1993.
