Solomon Lew is set to be re-elected chairman of Premier Investments, which recorded a 70 per cent surge in online sales in recent weeks.
Solomon Lew has over 50 years of experience in the manufacture, wholesale and retailing of textiles, apparel and merchandise, as well as property development. His success in the retail industry has been due to his ability to read fashion trends and interpret them for the Australasian market, in addition to his demonstrated ability in the timing of investments.
Mr Lew is a director of Century Plaza Investments and was a director of Coles Myer from 1985 to 2002 where he served as vice chair from 1989, chair from 1991 to 1995, executive chair in 1995, and vice chair in 1995 & 1996.
Mr Lew is a member of the World Retail Hall of Fame. He was also a former board member of the Reserve Bank of Australia, former member of the Prime Minister's Business Advisory Council, and chair of the Mount Scopus Foundation.
