Simon Ward
Simon Ward has decades of experience working at the highest levels of state government. He has worked within ministerial offices and government agencies; and maintains an extensive network of contacts across government, industry and politics. Mr Ward was also a chief of staff and senior advisor to three ministers within the Gallop, Carpenter and McGowan Labor governments, with a particular focus on consumer protection, housing, corrective services, Asian engagement and veterans issues.

Mr Ward has held senior strategy and policy roles in the Housing Authority, where he influenced the national affordable housing policy agenda to align with the high-level imperatives of the state government. His roles also involved maintaining strong engagement with industry and government stakeholder to advance the State Affordable Housing Strategy.

Mr Ward joined CGM Communications in June 2021 as an associate director of government relations. Prior to that, he held advisory roles at the Department of Mines, Industry Regulation and Safety as well as the Road Safety Commission.

Mr Ward holds a Bachelor of Arts (Honours) from Curtin University, majoring in Political Science and History.
