Simon Tyler

Mr Tyler brings to the Board banking experience with particular expertise in treasury. He began his career in finance more than 35 years ago at South Pacific Merchant Finance which later merged to become the National Bank of New Zealand (National Bank). Through his career, Simon has held several senior treasury and financial markets roles at National Bank and the Reserve Bank of New Zealand (RBNZ).In his most recent role, Simon was Chief Executive of the Government Superannuation Fund Authority and the National Provident Fund, which he held for 10 years.Simon is currently an independent director on the audit committee of IHC New Zealand, a director of Palliser Estate Wines of Martinborough Limited, and is a trustee of the Fale Malae Trust and the University of Otago Foundation Trust.
