New CEO for OTOC
Contractor OTOC has appointed Simon Thomas as its new chief executive officer as current CEO Adam Lamond takes on the position of executive director for corporate strategy.
Simon Thomas has been with BHP for 6 years before re-joining the company in October 2017 as the project director for its South Flank iron ore project in the Pilbara. He has since been the general manager of the South Flank project in November 2019, vice president of projects potash in January 2021, and president of Potash since September 2021.
Prior to BHP, Mr Thomas was the chief executive of Veris (and previously as OTOC), engineer and manager at MPD JV, and an engineer at Beca Simons and Fluor.
He holds a Bachelor of Engineering (Honours) in Civil/Structural Engineering from the University of Melbourne.
