Head of Science / Western Australian Museum

Simon Carroll is currently the Head of Science - Collections & Research with the Western Australian Museum. Previously, Dr Carroll was the Head of Science Partnerships at Scitech and Director of the WA Biomedical Research Institute. He has also held a number of executive positions in CSIRO, publicly-listed biotech companies, such as Advanced Ocular Systems, and was chair of AusBiotech, Australia's Biotechenology Industry Organisation from 2000 to 2010. Dr Carroll is also an innovator who has been involved in a number of start-up companies. He is also a director of Sock it to Sarcoma! - The Abbie Basson Sarcoma Foundation.
