Shin Ein Ng is an investor and entrepreneur, and she mentors and invests in growth companies in the digital marketing and technology space. Ms Ng is the founder and managing partner of Gryphus Capital, a pan-Asian private equity investment firm. She invests actively and leads a network of family offices and other private equity firms to provide strategic capital for companies. For these investments, she engages with portfolio companies, focusing on strategy and business development. Ms Ng was admitted as an advocate and solicitor of the Singapore Supreme Court and practised as a corporate lawyer in Messrs Lee & Lee where she advised clients on joint ventures, mergers and acquisitions, and fundraising exercises. Subsequent to legal practice, Ms Ng spent a number of years at the Singapore Exchange where she was responsible for developing Singapore's capital market and bringing foreign companies to list in Singapore. She was also part of the Singapore Exchange's IPO Approval Committee where she contributed industry perspectives and acted as a conduit between the marketplace and regulators. Ms Ng is a board member of SGX-listed Avarga, First Resources and Yanlord Land Group. Prior directorships include Eu Yan Sang International (since privatised by a consortium led by Temasek and delisted) and Sabana Real Estate Investment Management. She was also appointed the youngest ever director of Fairprice, Singapore’s largest supermarket operator. In addition to corporate boards, Ms Ng also serves on the boards of the Singapore International Foundation and the Middle East Institute, National University of Singapore. She is also Singapore’s Non-Resident Ambassador to the Republic of Hungary.
