Shannon Calvert's expertise lies in collaborating with clinicians, researchers, and organisations that champion wellbeing through education, training, and supervision. She has worked for both government and non-government organisations as a consumer consultant, peer worker and mental health trainer.
With a renowned dedication for mental health reform, Ms Calvert has presented papers and workshops at national and international conferences on topics such as the importance of compassion in treatment interventions; consumer and carer engagement in the design of policy and education; as well as her own lived experience with physical and mental health challenges.
Ms Calvert completed the Cert IV in Mental Health Peer Work, and graduated as a Lived Experience Educator from the Valuing the Lived Experience Project.
